Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata of Studio Ghibli announced two new anime films. One is to be an adaptation of a 12th century old Japanese tale called The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter and the other might just actually be an auto-biography in anime form by Hayao Miyazaki himself.
I'm not too fond of Studio Ghibli fans. I find them mostly talking about the older films as if newer ones don't exist.

Well, that's because they believe the new works are weaker, especially Howl's Moving Castle. They are, however, a fold above the rest. Even if they manage to be sub-par "Ghibli" works. I am going to collect every single one of the movies, because they are all fantastic and offer an enriching perspective on life and fantasy in general.
I'll be tuning into these as well. My favorite works are those with depictions of man vs. machine and man vs. nature.
