There's been rumors and not so detailed announcements running around. One is the next Vocaloid will be male and voiced by a popular young seiyuu in Japan. No news yet if the person doing the voice is a male or not, but it would be neat to have a trap. There's some secret demo video called 5 cm and it's commented on about how clear and youthful it was. Suppose to be more details in a week or so.

But then...there's this robotic girl named Furukawa Miki with her own upcoming Christmas album.

Wasn't Kamui Gakupo a trap? Pretty sure he cross-dressed a few times. Still, more Vocaloids is a good thing, I'm not into the whole Vocaloid thing myself, but if one comes out with a design I like, the amount of fan-art is enormous. Funny how it's so popular.

Could be a trap. I don't trust it.

But then again, that hasn't stopped me before.

Kiyoteru, Yuki, Ai, and Shota are the new Vocaloid characters. Ai and Shota aren't actually Vocaloid, but Voiceroid for voices.

Kiyoteru is a huge improvement over Kaito. I personally don't care for the new designs of the characters, but hopefully fan art can improve upon it.

Click on their images to download samples or see the Voiceroid videos bellow.

Hah, none of the new Vocaloids are very popular. Too bad. Megpoid is doing surprisingly well though. =|

Found about Lily from a blog.
http://www.vocaloidi...codenamed-lily/

According to DTM Magazine, a new Vocaloid, codenamed “Lily,” will be illustrated by KEI. Crypton confirmed via twitter that there is no connection between the new Vocaloid Lily and their company.

The current theory is Lily is being released by AH-Software (AHS) as part of their Vocal Artist series, and the voice source is the lead vocalist of m.o.v.e. (“yuri,” which translates into Lily). It should be noted that although this is most likely, it has NOT been officially confirmed.

Better looking than previous females, but doubt she'll be special.

Lily sounds like a closet freak whispering into a microphone. Not to mention the few high notes *it* managed to reach sounded just awful. Far too alike to a Kagamine Rin, who has been experiencing a big rise in popularity. Lily basically sounds like an APPENDed version of Rin. With less pitch scales.

Frankly, I think while some may be stoked at the introduction of a new Vocaloid, few outlets of use are available in a music industry where the demands have been met with the current triumvirate. (Miku, Rin, Luka).

I grant you the argument that Megpoid has reached profound success, but she occupies a need for more lifelike Idol-esque singing. One that Lily can't hope to usurp and replace.

Characters bring a new voice and persona, but eventually studios may have some failures and duds. Don't often hear about the developers Yamaha themselves. Characters may not be a wise way to expand or keep followers. The anime and RPG game likely are a good sign though.

The new one briefly known as the Hello Kitty Vocaloid turned out to be Nekomura Iroha by AH-Software. There's more about this pink haired stereo handed girl on Vocaloidism.

Utatane Piko by Sony Music and expected out December 8th 2010 for 15,750 yen. It'll be based on the Vocaloid 2 engine and it's...a male.

VY1 is a unisex Vocaloid2 that's surprisingly well done considering the whole... unisex thing.
