Anime Sols legal crowd funding streaming annouced April Fools day that it will shut down May 1st. Before you consider it to be a joke, the Japanese fiscal year begins on April 1st. It began in 2013 as a joint venture between Japan’s Yomiuri Group, Studio Pierrot, Tezuka Productions, and Tatsunoko Productions.
The media will remain on site for viewing until the site closes up. Its anime includes Black Jack, Blue Blink, Creamy Mami, Dororo, New Yatterman, Tekkaman, Tobikage, and the original Yatterman. Also has a load of TV specials.
Appears to be a nice try but no win for them. Most anime wasn't successfully funded by viewers as they liked and they stopped adding new series after a while. We're going to miss out on a ton of anime that won't be licensed by anyone else.
